Time Changes = Need. More. Coffee! ☕

Happy Monday y’all! At least happy is the way I’m trying to face the day. I don’t know about you, but the time change has really taken a toll on me this year. Losing that hour of sleep has me barely keeping awake. Add in two kids two and under and sheesh… I swear they have no sense of time. (I mean they are only two and one, but come on, boys!)

I cannot tell you enough though, how thankful I am for my kiddos. I got to spend a ton of time with them this past weekend. We spent most of our time outside as the weather was beyond beautiful! I am behind on my crafting game, but I don’t regret it for one second because of the time I spent with my boys. (Even the biggest boy, my sweet hubby!) 🥰

I did get to make one card this past weekend for a friends drive by baby shower. I’m excited to share this project with you.

This card was made using the Wildly Happy stamp set. It’s so adorable with the cute images of mother and baby animals. I loved the fox so much.

I chose the Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow for the combination because the momma to be said the nursery was a blush and neutral color. The fox and her kit (right?) are colored using pumpkin pie light and dark Stampin’ Blends. 🦊 The colors all complimented each other so well.

I used the Painted Textures 3D embossing folder to add an extra element on the Mossy Meadow layer. I love how it makes the project pop. I also used the Gold Faceted Gems and used the Gold Foil paper as a mat and popped them up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This sweet baby is going to be here in a few weeks and we sure did shower her momma and daddy with gifts at their drive by shower this weekend. Little girl, you will be and already are such a blessing to your parents and I pray over you and your today. 🍼🙏🏻

What did you do this weekend? How are you handling the time change? I hope to be back in the crafting corner a bit more this week as I have a class coming up next weekend. I’ll be featuring the gorgeous Lovely You bundle.

Grab a cup of coffee, cold or otherwise and I’ll see y’all soon. Cheers to crafting. ☕️🧋

Tuesday and Moving Along

Happy Tuesday Readers! (Do I have any yet?!)

I’ve been really excited to share this card with you, but I’ve had to delay putting it out because it has taken me forever to get it to the recipient. My oldest son LOVES trains. He adores everything about them. We have watched all the Thomas and Friends episodes on Hulu more than once, we have about 479 trains in the house, and his favorite words might be “choo choo” and “chugga.” It was really important that when I made this card it represent the person receiving as well as the sender. One of my kids’ friends at their baby sitter recently had a 1st birthday, so I felt the card should definitely have trains so it would remind them of my kids.🚂 I really loved it so much that I didn’t want to give it away. Kind of card to keep it with someone else’s name on it though! 😂

I made this card using the Moving Along Stamp Set and Playful Alphabet Dies. I did take the idea for this card from someone else, but I cannot think of whom the person is off of the top of my head, nor did I save their card on Pinterest or anything. Whoops.

Moving Along Birthday Card

The Moving Along Stamp Set is so fun and perfect for little boys and girls alike. I particularly loved having it for my son, because of his love of trains and all things transportation. It also includes a car, helicopter, and the train. The sentiments can be used for a variety of occasions such as birthdays, celebrations, and baby showers. This stamp set is also photopolymer which makes it easy to line up the detailed images with their respective silhouettes. There is so much possibility with this set and I cannot wait to create more with it.

I hope that Mr. Coen enjoys his card as much as my son did. I don’t think he was really ready to put it in the envelope after scribbling his name in the inside of the card. Happy 1st Birthday Coen!

How to Make This Card

Measurements

Granny Apple Green Cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″
Costal Cabana Cardstock – 4″ x 3 3/4″
Basic White Cardstock – 3 3/4″ x 3 1/2″
Pacific Point, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, and Real Red scraps for Die Cutting letters

Make the Card

Start by folding your Granny Apple Green card base on the scored line.
Adhere your Costal Cabana mat cardstock to the card base.
Stamp your clouds in balmy blue. (I stamped off first to have the color appear lighter.)
Stamp the detailed train images across the bottom of the Basic White Cardstock. Start with the engine and continue with the train cars.
Stamp the silhouettes with a pacific point, crushed curry, granny apple green, and real red. (Or colors of your choice.)
Stamp detailed image of the helicopter and then the silhouette of the helicopter in crushed curry (or color of your choice.)
On a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock, stamp the banner image and the sentiment inside. Cut the banner out.
Using colored cardstock scraps, die cut letters for name (or other word) and number. I used coordinating colors to my ink.
Adhere stamped Basic White Cardstock to card base.
Using twine tie a knot and adhere to helicopter and back of number (I used glue dots).
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals attach banner sentiment on helicopter.
Voila!

Kangaroo and Company Birthday Card 🦘

I feel like February has been FULL of birthdays. I’ve been making cards left and right. I wanted to share a very simple card that I made for my cousin’s 10th birthday. This features the Kangaroo and Company Stamp Set. I also used the Kangaroo Dies for both the momma and her little joey…. or if it’s a girl, her little, uh… what are baby girl kangaroos called? 🤔😂 Anyway. The dies also were used for the presents.

Get all the supplies to make this card or something similar by clicking on the image.

The Happy Birthday sentiment comes from the Many Mates Stamp Set and the Die is from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (some of my favorites)! I colored all of the presents and the kangaroos using various colors of Stampin’ Blends. I cannot tell you how much I love them. They work so well, they blend perfectly from light to dark and dark to light. Did I tell you how much I love them? Because I love them. 😉

The Stamp Set and Dies

The Kangaroo and Company Stamp Set and Dies pictured above are the most adorable I’ve seen. Can you tell why I couldn’t resist? I love the versatility of the set while still allowing for “cutesy” type projects. The presents for birthdays, the hearts for anniversaries, valentine’s, or other love type occasions, and the flowers for just because, thinking of you, birthdays, and anniversaries!

One of my favorite things about the dies is that the Kangaroo’s pocket is what I call “interactive”! You can actually slide the presents, hearts, flowers, envelope, or her little joey inside and take them out! HOW COOL!? I just love this set.

Enjoy a cup of coffee y’all! Cold or otherwise… and I’ll see ya real soon.
