How I Decided to Start a Blog

When I joined Stampin’ Up! in January of 2020 I often found myself looking at crafting blogs for inspiration. I was forever searching for ideas on my next card or craft project, how I could take an old idea and make it new with our latest products, or how demonstrators were using our newest products. I would honestly spend more time searching and reading than I ever did creating. And I did not join Stampin’ Up! to look at other peoples projects. I joined so I could create amazing, beautiful creations of my own. So I decided I had to stop reading (at least as much as I was) and start creating.

So why did I decide to start a blog, though? To be to the blunt I don’t know 🤫! But as I think about it on a deeper level, I find that I have to be someone else’s inspiration. Someone just like me will need an idea or a project to work from and I could give them that idea. Woah… I could do that?! There’s no way. But I could. So here I am. On a Monday morning, with my large iced coffee (by the ways it’s 30 degrees outside 🥶), writing this post thinking about all the people that will come to my blog to see my projects and take ideas and do what we in the crafting world call CASE (copy and share everything)! And you know what? I would be honored if someone were to copy my projects and cards. But I would be more pleased to see how they (or you!) were inspired by my projects by commenting or sharing with me their updated creations.

So I’m writing a blog….I’m starting a blog. I can’t believe I’m putting that into words. 😳 I’m writing to be an inspiration (weird, but true.) And it’s mind boggling to me, because I’m not a writer per se, but I can’t wait to share my projects, cards, crafts, business, and life through these posts. I hope you’ll join me in this adventure and journey.

Enjoy a cup of coffee, cold or otherwise, and I’ll see you real soon.

Kate
